Prior to cooperating on Netflix’s hit series Cobra Kai, the two were Disney Channel costars. The two first met back in 2015 when they cooperated on the Disney Channel unique movie, The Swap. At that point, List was starring on the hit Disney Channel series Jessie, and Bertrand on the Disney XD series Kirby Buckets.

Following their film, they fostered a close friendship, however it was only after years after the fact that their relationship turned heartfelt. In Walk 2021, List recorded Bertrand’s birthday by sharing a photograph of them on the set of Cobra Kai alongside their costar Paul Walter Hauser.

After a month, Bertrand checked List and her sibling Spencer’s birthday on Instagram. The first photograph showed List and Bertrand nestling up in matching denim, while the second photograph was a silly snap of List’s sibling with a dessert and birthday flame.

Bertrand showed his support for List as he went to a spring-up for her cosmetics line, Pley Excellence. After the occasion, List shared photos from the occasion, including one of her and Bertrand nestled up on a jumping castle.
